GALAXY BRINGING MANCHESTER CITY TO YOKOHAMA UNDER NEW EUROJAPAN CUP SPONSORSHIP

Galaxy Entertainment Group has signed a two-year title sponsorship agreement for the new Galaxy Entertainment EuroJapan Cup, an annual showcase featuring some of European football’s biggest clubs against J-League opposition.

The maiden game, to be played on Saturday 27 July at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, will see English Premier League giants Manchester City face Yokohama F. Marinos, with the yet-to-be-finalized 2020 contest to take place in Osaka.

The Galaxy Entertainment EuroJapan Cup aims to promote sports participation activities in Japan and contribute to local communities by conducting various outreach events, including soccer clinics led by some of the world’s top soccer players, Galaxy said in its announcement.

“We are very excited to be bringing the Galaxy Entertainment EuroJapan Cup to Japan for the first time this summer,” said COO of Galaxy Entertainment Japan, Ted Chan.

“GEG will continue to support a wide variety of sports and cultural events by bringing the world’s best entertainment to Japan while helping to raise Japan’s profile across the world.  We also hope through our sponsorship, to support the development of soccer in Japan and make a contribution to local communities for many years to come.”

The Galaxy Entertainment EuroJapan Cup is organized by the Japan Football Association, Japan Professional Football League (J League), Zepp Live Inc and Nippon Television Network Corporation.
