For the year-to-date, online betting revenue is up 41.5% to \u20ac411.4m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The retail betting throne was claimed by the\u00a0<strong>new Gamenet\/Goldbet combo<\/strong>, which claimed a 18.7% share. Snaitech wasn\u2019t far back with 16.5% and GVC Holdings\u2019\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Eurobet<\/strong>\u00a0brand ranked third with 14.7%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Virtual betting generated revenue of \u20ac20.5m in August, \u20ac19m of which came via retail outlets. For the year-to-date, virtual betting revenue totals \u20ac170m, of which \u20ac157.5m was retail-derived. Gamenet\/Goldbet also led this vertical with an even more dominant 27.5% share.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">August\u2019s online casino revenue shot up 26% year-on-year to \u20ac56.5m, with The Stars Group\u2019s<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">PokerStars<\/strong>\u2019 brand claiming top honors with a 9.7% share.\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Lottomatica<\/strong>\u00a0ranked second with 8.9% and<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Sisal<\/strong>\u00a0claimed third with \u20ac8.4%. For the year-to-date, online casino revenue is up over \u20ac100m year-on-year to \u20ac458.8m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Online poker played contrarian in August, as cash games revenue fell 6.9% to \u20ac4.8m while tournament fees were down 5.9% to \u20ac5.6m. PokerStars claimed a 42.1% share of cash games revenue and a 64.8% slice of the tournament take. For the year-to-date, cash games revenue has fallen nearly \u20ac2m to \u20ac44.1m, while tournaments are essentially flat at around \u20ac55m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">All eyes will be on Italy\u2019s market in the coming months to gauge the impact the country\u2019s new\u00a0<strong>ban on gambling advertising and sponsorships<\/strong>.
