{"id":558,"date":"2020-09-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gbc.ng\/pokerstars-withdraws-from-china-macau-and-taiwan\/"},"modified":"2020-09-03T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T00:00:00","slug":"pokerstars-withdraws-from-china-macau-and-taiwan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gbc.ng\/index.php\/pokerstars-withdraws-from-china-macau-and-taiwan\/","title":{"rendered":"POKERSTARS WITHDRAWS FROM CHINA, MACAU AND TAIWAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The world\u2019s largest online poker site, PokerStars, appears to be pulling out of China, Macau and Taiwan as it looks to focus on regulated markets following the recent merger of parent company The Stars Group with UK betting giant Flutter Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by\u00a0<em>CalvinAyre.com<\/em>, multiple PokerStars account holders posted screenshots on popular global poker forum\u00a0<em>Two Plus Two<\/em>\u00a0last weekend showing emails they had received from Stars Support informing them that PokerStars would be exiting the region as of 1 September.
