La Liga\u2019s\u00a0Deportivo Alav\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0has thanked\u00a0SBC\u00a0<\/strong>for its assistance after securing a two-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Betway.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s\u00a0Deputy General Manager Mikel B\u00e1rcena<\/strong>\u00a0welcomed\u00a0SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus\u00a0Sojmark\u00a0<\/strong>to the Basque country to say thank you for facilitating an introduction to the operator at this year\u2019s\u00a0Betting on Football<\/strong>\u00a0at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

The connection was made as part of the invite-only Sponsorship Forum at the event, which saw SBC Events facilitate direct introductions between sports clubs and bookmakers by matching opportunities to pre-screened interests.<\/p>\n

Deportivo Alav\u00e9s, who finished 14th in La Liga last season and reached the Copa del Rey quarter finals, has subsequently become the newest addition to Betway\u2019s sponsorship portfolio, which already includes established Premier League side West Ham United.<\/p>\n

The operator\u2019s considerable European footprint also extends to sponsorship of C.D. Legan\u00e9s and Levante U.D, alongside betting partnerships with Bundesliga\u2019s Werder Bremen and Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht.<\/p>\n

Speaking as the deal was closed,\u00a0Betway\u2019s Anthony\u00a0Werkman\u00a0<\/strong>said: \u201cWe are always looking for great ways to promote the Betway brand globally and we have done that with Deportivo Alav\u00e9s, our third La Liga shirt sponsorship deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a club on the up, so we are delighted to be playing a part in their journey ahead of their third successive season in La Liga. It\u2019s sure to be yet another exciting campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

B\u00e1rcena commented: \u201cIt\u2019s an honour to partner with Betway, as we prepare to deliver a commercial boost to complement our promising on-pitch performance from last season.<\/p>\n

SBC Sponsorship Forum host Jaap\u00a0Kalma\u00a0<\/strong>said: \u201cThe international sponsorship market is far from transparent, which is quite strange when you consider it is all about visibility! But sponsors and rights holders live in different worlds, with a different logic, and the complexity and size of the deals is such that deals mostly come about through a multitude of sports marketing intermediates.<\/p>\n
