However, sports governing bodies are also trying to update their own rules to take advantage of the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #1d2f5f; letter-spacing: .25pt;\">That\u2019s why the\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\"><span style=\"color: #1d2f5f; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">US PGA Tour<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em>\u00a0has cleared golf to enter the sports betting wheel, starting in 2020<span style=\"color: #1d2f5f; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #1d2f5f; letter-spacing: .25pt;\">\u201cYou\u2019ll start to see product in the market place next year,\u201d US PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #1d2f5f; letter-spacing: .25pt;\">\u201cIt\u2019s all about engagement,\u201d Monahan explained about how he sees sports betting in golf. \u201cWhen done right, it gives fans the opportunity to engage with your sport over a longer period of time and have more interest in what\u2019s happening across the entire player field.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #1d2f5f; letter-spacing: .25pt;\">\u201cIt\u2019s legalised in a lot of international markets and we\u2019ve put the right systems in place. Both in terms of an integrity programme and monitoring activity,\u201d Monahan stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #1d2f5f; letter-spacing: .25pt;\">\u201cAs it is becoming legalised by state in the US, you can either participate or not.
