GOLDEN RACE TO BOOST RETAIL LOTTO ACTIVITY FOR BET9JA

Nigerian sports betting operator Bet9ja has picked Mobiprint from Golden Race to power its new in-shop lotto solution.

The device is pre-loaded with Golden Race’s cashier software so customers can place a bet, print a ticket and scan any winning tickets, all with the same hardware solution.

Mobiprint will also make it easier for Bet9ja to run the shops as customers will be able to place bets both over the counter or from wherever they are in the shop – avoiding long lines for the cashier, and increasing the number of bets taken.

Since the device is Wi-Fi enabled and includes GPS and 3G connectivity, shop employees will be able to approach customers and issue more tickets in between events.

The white label Mobiprint solution comes with a 3.5” touchscreen, contactless data reading and an in-built camera for barcode scanning.

Reacting on LinkedIn, Golden Race CEO Martin Wachter praised his company’s ongoing work with Bet9ja as a ‘great project’, and described the operator as ‘professional and outstanding partners’.

Mobiprint 3+ was rolled out this time last year as part of a set of ‘faster, simpler and safer’ solutions for land-based betting operators, which also included Golden Box V2 and a quartet of new self service betting terminals (SSBTs).
